This movie will be the my last reflection blogging and I decided to watched “Thirteen Ghost”, I forgot the actor name actually but I do remember the story. This movie about a father with 2 beautiful children and facing a great of lose his wife. He had to take care his children and fee a nanny to help him to take care the children, but the nightmares came to them when the uncle that evil-obsessed with ghost died and the house was give it to the father. It is not just the house, it actually a house that filled with terrible, scary, violent 12 ghosts.

This movie actually I saw it when I was 14 years old and of course it scared me to death especially when the Juggernaut came out suddenly and killed the people, the lady ghost with her only face caged running around madly in the house also surprised me because I watched it very extra close up. 

What makes me surprised more than the lady ghost is the 13- ghost, I thought it may be the uncle, but I was wrong, never ever crossed in my head that the father will be the 13- ghost. Oh my God. How can it be??? Then I realized the condition to be the 13- ghost is he or she must have a pure sacrifice.

From this movie also I know that a father will do anything to ensure that his children is safe and never messed with ghost because it will haunt you.

Reflection blog

For my reflection blogging again I decided to watch a science fiction movie.  I want to watched horror movie but I still don’t get the right movie to talk about. So, for my fiction movie I chose “Edward Scissor hand”. As we know the movie star by Johnny Deep and Winona Ryder.

It’s about a robot that turned to almost human and lived at his master/ father mansion until one day a woman discovered him and brought him back to the woman house, began from there he involve with a problems and fell in love with the daughter of the woman.

Based on my view, I think this movie brought a hidden message for audience which is, don’t judge the book by its cover. For example is even though Edward is only almost human, he had a good heart compare to the bad young man.

I noticed that in real life we will never invite a stranger live at our house but I impressed the woman that brought Edward equips with a lot of sharp scissor to her house. I will never ever brought Edward to my house because we don’t know may be he could be a serial killer, just may be.

At the end of the movie I think its very touch because Edward still loves the woman daughter and carve her on cold ice and the small piece cut from the ice became a snow around the village.

Reflection blog

For my second reflection blogging I decided to watched “Tears of the Sun”, acted by Bruce Wills this movie about America platoon of soldier that sent to other country and save innocent people that trap between government and terrorist war.

For me this movie very nerve wrecking and touching also. I can’t imagine myself in their position; I definitely scared to death by just watching the terrorist easy killed someone for their goal like life there is no value.

The most touching scene in this movie for me actually when one of the American soldier is sacrifices himself for the woman and her son that barely he know for a day. To tell the truth I and my brother cried that part. What make us cries is the way the soldier sacrifices himself, he just covered the woman and her son with his body and rather take the hundreds bullets than the woman and the son.

This movie also teach not to lose a hope and give up, their believe that at the end of the tunnel, there is a light, for instance the people that trap between the war is try their best to reach the safe place even though there is huge possibility death might after them. Its need a lot of courage and pray to passed the death. At the end of the movie is the innocent people reached the safe place and cried because theirs survive in the journey. 

Reflection blog

My lecturer asks us to comment about movie that we watch and post the comment at our blog, so I chose cartoon movie which is “Puss in the Boots”, voice by Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. “Puss in the Boots is about a cat named Puss that had his amazing journey with his friends Humpty Alexander Dumpty and Kitty to find a magic beans and stole the golden goose from the sky castle.

I think this movie is very hilarious, relax, enjoy, and cute also had a lot of nice messages, for instance, a friendship between cat and egg. In my opinion, friendship can be made regardless of color, language and type. Besides, I’m in personal think that this movie brought a message about believed that we are better than what we are exactly.

I also noticed that in this movie is never ever lose the original identity , for example in this movie Humpty Dumpty is a nice person at the beginning but turn bad at middle of the story because he thinks Puss abandoned him, at the end Puss  advised him and Puss also successes convinced him.

“Puss in the Boots” also brought message that a relationship can be made between a human mother and cat. Even though the cat is only animal but the human mother is very take a good care of the cat. Taking a good care of the cat just like her child, I know it is sound ridiculous, but it is not impossible. Isn’t? Moreover it’s already happened actually in reality life. I think it is very moving movie also.

As a conclusion, there is a plenty of good messages that we can practice in our life and can make us a better person in the future and be a great generation to our country. 

My superpower

Today, there is a lot of movie that shown a main character with incredible superpower such as “Heroes”, “Mr. Incredible” and “X- man”. X-man became my favorite movie when the first time I saw it.

I want a persuasive power. Just one touch, the person will be under my command and follow all my instructions. Of course my power wills stands as long as I want.

I would like to have that superpower so the other people can live their life as should be and not be hurtful by others people mistake, for instance a father that blamed because of other people conspiracy, I’ll use my power to the irresponsible person and persuasive him to tell the truth. I would do good things with my power.

If I had this superpower, of course my lives change because other people will think me as a freak and stay away from me.

The unforgettable childhood memory

Everybody has an unforgettable childhood memory, same with me. It always make me smile when I think about it.The incident happened when I was 10 years old, at the age of that, of course there was always something hilarious that happened. That time I just went back from school around 5 o’clock, I was in a rushed because my favorite cartoon about to played,the cartoon never failed to made me laughed , so starts from bus stopped I ran with a maximum power that i had that time until at my house.

When I reached my house, I turn on the television and still wore a stoking. I saw an advertisement, in my head “Yes, I still had time to eat”. Once again I ran into the kitchen but unfortunately I fell down at the staircase. From the beginning of the stair until the end of the stair I fell on. Of course it’s hurts. What do you think?

Suddenly, my mother at the kitchen and saw everything was appeared, followed by others neighbors. That time I felt like the whole world saw me fell on the staircase. I ‘m so embarrassed, even though I just 10 years old, but still I ‘m embarrassed what happened.

What made me felt more embarrassed was when my mother said “are you trying to catch a mouse? In my head, “of course not, I just slipped away.” So, I lift up my face, took the food and watched my favorite cartoon. The cartoon made me felt happy… for awhile, that is the unforgettable childhood memory I had.  

Magical Forest...

When Sara step her both feet into the lovely, magical forest, she can feels the air that she breath so fresh until her chest expand and feel so relieved when the air is let go. Sara looks the azure sky and the sun ray filled the forest all over. The cloud took a shape of animal like cat; dog and more, it make Sara laugh and said “This forest is going to blow my mind!!” The water also looks wonderful and beautiful flowing through the river.

 Sara take a good look at the river and shock that is milk, “Odin, the water of the river is milk, are you play a trick on me” said Sara loudly. Odin just smiles looking the expression of Sara. Sara admits that the magical forest brings a tranquillity and harmony. The forest filled with a lot of kind flowers, red roses, white lilies, purple lavender, and red hibiscus and all of flower that Sara can think. The entire flowers in the forest grow up beautiful and attractive.

Sara thinks she can live there for hundred thousand years without any misery. So, the next few hours, Odin spent time to explain briefly to Sara about the magical forest and suddenly Odin says this is a best place for a people that need to heal their wounded soul.

Sara a little bit stunned when the word “wounded” said by Odin. In her mind, is she having a “wounded soul”. Sara thinks for a while, and said “yes, I do have a wounded soul, maybe because of my parents divorces, why this is happen?” said Sara.

Suddenly, Odin say “lassy, don’t worry I’m Odin, the guardian forest will help you to heal”, Sara just smiles. Then, Odin mumbled some incantation “1, 2, 3 count your way, make this pain go away”, Sara stunned for a while, she can’t believe what her see, a white sparkle surrounded her and a beautiful, little fairies came out and sing a lovable song like a lullaby song.

The song makes Sara feels calm and warm, she felt asleep. When she open her eyes, she noticed that the forest is no longer there, its disappear, then she remember what Odin said to her “ the forest will be here when yer need it but do not want it, but when yer want it and no longer need it that is when everything goes away”. Sara gets out from the forest and suddenly she heard a voice whispered said “Goodbye Sara”. Sara just smiles and returned home with a heal soul.

A thousand words...

After a few days, the girl, Nasim receive a camera in the box sent by the man. The woman a little bit surprise with the present of the box that sent to her and she is wandering it came from whom. She opened the box slowly and spots the camera inside the box.

After Nasim spots the camera, she takes it and looks at the camera pictures. She looks the pictures one by one and sees the pictures of a man that she took it a few days ago. She just smiles while she is seeing all the pictures that she took it. Right after that she sees the man pictures and holding a paper include of numbers.

Then, she realizes that the paper that man was holding was his number phone. Nasim just smiles and feel happy about that, but still she is thinking about the next step, should her call the man or just ignore it. Nasim always think about the man and wander if calling the man is a right decision or bad decision. After all, Nasim had to thanks the man for sent the camera.

Finally, Nasim made up her mind and takes a gut to call the man. Nasim clench her lips while waiting the man pick up his phone and suddenly the person that she is waiting finally say “hello”. Nasim get a little shy first, but still continue to talk with the man and thanking to the man for sent her camera.

But unfortunately, the conversation only last for 10 minutes, because they both don’t know what exactly what they want to talk. Then, the next day, at 7.00 a.m the man decided to call Nasim and the conversation turns from 10 minutes to 1 hour, and the next day became 2 hours and so on.

Eventually, the man asks Nasim if they can meet. Nasim feels happy that day and say “yes, I will meet you”. They arrange the date and place to meet and just waiting for that day comes. Finally, the date comes and they both get dress beautifully and handsomely to meet each other.

They agree to meet at the restaurant, as soon Nasim walks nearing the restaurant she can see the man across the street, their eyes meet with each others, both of them smiles and walking to the restaurant together. 

A picture worth a thousand words..

Do you agree that a picture worth a thousand words?
I absolutely agree with “a picture worth a thousand words”. It has been said over the centuries that a picture could be worth a thousand words. As you can imagine still, for each individual that views it, the words can be decidedly different. For an example is Guernica.

Above is a picture of  a “Guernica” painted by Pablo Picasso. Many of people said that the Guernica is just a non- message picture, if we just glance at this picture we can say that, based on individual opinion. We also can say that this picture actually is just an ordinary picture, which consist of bulls, horse and a few of people. But, the truth is this paint actually consist an enormous message, it was created in reply to the bombing of Guernica, Basque Country, by German and Italy warplanes, during Spanish Civil War.

The main point of Guernica is to shows the tragedies of war and the suffering of many people, particularly innocent civilians. This picture contains a thousand words of sadness and sufferers.

Well, it just not that, each of the character in this picture also represents something. For an example is the people who lay on the floor, under the horse is , apparently dismembered soldier, his hand on a severed arm still grasps a shattered sword from which a flower grows. It represent that the soldier still fight until he stopped breathe.

Another example also is within a room where the bull, if we just look at the picture it just a bull and a lady, but if we look at the picture very carefully it shows the cruelty for innocent people and also a wide-eyed bull stands over a woman grieving over a dead child in her arms Meanwhile, the light bulb in the painting represents the sun, symbol of hope. Besides that, Picasso uses black, white, and grey paint to set a somber mood and express pain and chaos.

So does a picture worth a thousand worth? I think it does. In a picture there is a thousand words that can be paint.
